She can always come home: Em’s New Home at SMU

Took our youngest baby girl to college orientation this week at SMU in Dallas. Such a gorgeous campus! Thought I’d share some phone pics. The place is IMMACULATE!

Mustang statue near the athletic facilities. This is really a beautiful piece and the plaque says it was an anniversary gift to the donor’s wife! Nice! Point of information: there are approximately 100,000 representations of the SMU Mustang logo that we have seen. Heaven forbid if they ever rebrand! But, I guess it’s working for them! Lol!
Gerald Turner used to be Chancellor at Ole Miss and is now the president at SMU. I think they like him.
Note to self: find out about these crape myrtle looking hedges!??
Apparently my uncle’s namesake, Doak Walker. SMU’s only Heisman winner.
During our campus tour last year, the guide said a recent class requested a “beach” be built for students. This is their version. Right in the middle of campus! Nice!
This is outside Emma’s new residence commons. I’ll let her share photos of it before I do. We tour it tomorrow.
