Four states, six cities, three points, a dog and two trees in September!

Looking back on a very busy September!

We were on the go nearly every weekend in one way or another in September!

Nashville

We visited Annsley in her new apartment in Nashville, and took our keeper puppy, Cap, along. Had a great birthday celebration supper, visited a farmer’s market where we met an Aussie person who recognized Cap as a show prospect, and helped Anns put up some shelves for her work-from-home space.

Dallas

Later that week, Mischief and I took Cap to Emma in Dallas, where he will keep her company and grow up some before he starts his show career.

He is adapting to lots of attention and lots of walks around the campus and neighborhood of Em’s new apartment.

Tulsa

From Dallas, I drove to visit my parents in Tulsa, along with Missy and her first visit to suburbia!

Georgia

No sooner had I returned home from Tulsa, we headed to Georgia to pick up our long-awaited deerhound puppy from the breeder! Her name is Stella, and she’s got big shoes to fill; her daddy and grandsire both have been Best of Breed at Westminster Kennel Club dog show!

Tennessee

Missy and I did a four-day show in McDonald, Tennessee, and on the first day, she won Best of Opposite Sex for a 3 point major! Her first points toward her championship, and she beat specials out of the 9-12 month puppy class! Really a thrill, and I’m so pleased with her showing.

Home

Connor came home from California for the first time since last Christmas! We saw him when the baby was born in Baton Rouge, and at his graduation ceremonies at WashU Memorial Day, but he was missing home! Annsley was also able to come, along with grand-dog Ferguson!

We’ve had a litter of 9 puppies, lost two dogs, and bought two dogs since he had been home!

Latest project: repainting Em’s room, in preparation for a house full of kids at Thanksgiving! Annsley helped me start the wallpaper when she was home with Connor.

Among all this, just this month, we had two trees close to the house taken out. Makes the house look so different!
